摘　　要：系统回顾了新世纪初期(2001-2012年)我国医学情报事业对人才培养、研究水平及合作情况、专业规范化及卫生政策的制定与卫生管理研究等方面的发展现状及存在的问题。这一时期医学情报事业呈现出高起点、高水平、高速度、高成效的迅猛发展势头。提出了争取顶层政策支持、加快人才培养与学科建设、开展理论与应用研究、加强机构间交流合作,为医学情报事业可持续发展的可借鉴对策。The status quo and problems in medical information during the early period of new century （2001-2012） were systematically reviewed, such as talents training, academic level, cooperative research; subject standardization, health policy formation and health management research, which showed that the rapid development of medical infor- mation in this period was characterized by high starting point, high level, high speed and excellent outcome. Measures were put forward for the sustainable development of medical information, such as striving for the policy support of leadership, speeding up talents training and subject construction, carrying out theory and application research, strengthening exchange and cooperation between institutions
