汉语民生词英译的文化途径

摘　　要：民生词汇的丰富程度是国家发展和社会进步的一个标志。在全球化的今天,通过民生词的翻译可以及时地向世界传达中国的新信息,让其他民族更准确地了解中国的民情和社会发展动态。从语言、文化与翻译的关系以及民生词翻译成英语时可能面临的障碍出发,在把握"语义与文化并重"的方向上提出了归化和异化的翻译策略,使用直译、意译、注释等微观具体的翻译方法能最大限度地实现不同文化间的交流。The richness of livelihood vocabulary is a sign of national development and social progress. Today, in a globalized world, through the translation of livelihood vocabulary, China＇ s new information can spread to the other parts of the world so that other peoples will have an accurate understanding of the Chinese people and society. Based on the relationship between language, livelihood words, this paper puts forward the munication both semantically and culturally. accommodating techniques as literal and free of the two afore-mentioned strategies. culture and translation, to break down the translation barriers of the strategies of the naturalization and alienation so as to actualize a com- Furthermore on that basis, this paper continues to put forward such translations, annotation, and so on to ensure the successful realizationof the two afore-mentioned strategies.
