摘　　要：隐喻不仅是一种修辞手段,还是一种认知方式,被广泛运用于现代的语言学理论研究中。通过利用隐喻的运行机制可以来解释全球化环境下的英语新词汇的生成过程,并探讨如何从隐喻角度有效地习得英语新词汇。Metaphor is regarded not only as a rhetorical device, but also a cognitive style, which is widely used in modem linguistics research. This article attempts to explore the formation of English neologism in the globalized world through the mechanism of metaphor and comes up with the solution to acquiring English neologism effectively from the perspective of metaphor
