摘　　要：高职英语的教学目标是培养学生掌握工作生活中的语言交际能力。英文报刊阅读在提高学生的语言应用能力方面发挥着越来越重要的作用。文章从分析报刊英语的语言特点入手,研究报刊阅读对英语教学的促进作用,进而提出在高职英语教学中开展报刊阅读的策略建议。The English teaching objective of higher vocational education is to teach students to acquire the linguistic communicative abilities in work and life circumstances. Reading newspaper is playing a more and more important role in improving students＇ linguistic applied abilities. The article first analyzes the linguistic features of English newspaper, then studies the positive effect of reading newspaper on English teaching, at last, puts forward some countermeasures.
