摘　　要：通过分析自建小型语料库在英语演讲教学中应用的理论基础,结合课堂中的实际应用,着重阐明自建小型语料库在英语演讲教学中提高学生演讲稿写作能力的优势,探讨一种新的英语演讲教学途径。Most English public speaking classes in colleges focus on the fostering of speaking skills such as pronunciation and intonation, articulation and fluency, ignoring the improvement of students＇ speech writing ability. Through analysis of the theoretical foundation of the application of small corpora in English public speaking teaching, this paper explicates the advantages of this application and illustrates some practical uses of two small self-made corpora in English public speaking teaching, and the result shows that this application can effectively improve students＇ speech writing.
