摘　　要：受潜伏语义分析研究成果启发,本研究假设:大幅结合英语小说阅读的英语写作教学模式具有引领中国英语写作教学突破困境的潜力。为了验证假设,本研究开展时长8个星期的英语写作教学对比实验。数据表明,引入英语小说阅读元素的英语写作教学实验班学生在英语写作表现上的变化明显优于对照班学生的表现,但数据同时表明,两者的差别尚未达到统计学上的显著意义。但是,两者之间的明显差别表明,有必要在延长实验周期、控制实验参数以及改善实验条件的基础上进一步开展更大规模的实验研究。Illuminated by many literature works including research achievements in latent semantic analysis （ LSA）, we hypothesized that English-novel-reading-based instructions could help get EFL Writing classes out of difficuhy. To testify the hypothesis, we developed an 8-weeked pedagogical experiment. Research result shows that while the performance of the subjects in experimental class, upon the ending of the experiment, is not significantly better than those in the controlled class in the SPSS＇ s independent samples t-test, the difference between the two groups of subjects＇ performance exists obviously. So it＇ s necessary to develop a bigger-scaled experiment with longer period and more reasonable controlling statistics.
