摘　　要：新中国建立以来,在党和政府的重视与扶持下,成人高等教育历经形式化发展、规范化发展以及优胜劣汰三个发展时期,积累了许多宝贵的经验,也出现了一些亟需解决的问题。面对新的发展形势,成人高等教育应该从功能定位、人才培养特色、管理体制、师资队伍和制度建设等方面不断进行自我完善。With the attention and support of the Party and government, adult higher education since the founding of new China, has experienced three stages of development which were formalization, nor malization and survival of the fittest, and it accumulated a lot of valuable experience as well as many pressing problems. Facing the new situation of development, adult higher education should be improved in function orientation, talent training characteristics, management system, teaching staff, system construction legislation and other aspects.
