翻译批评“忠实”标准的反思

摘　　要：在翻译研究和实践中从来都被奉为圭臬的"忠实"不是一项放之四海而皆准的标准,其本身就包含了两个不同而又不可分离的不同层面上的意义:实然与应然。从对"忠实"的两个方面的剖析和厘定中可以看出,描述事实与评判价值在翻译批评中是不可混淆亦无法分裂的阶段。As one of the most important criteria in translation studies and practice, ＂faithfulness＂ is in fact not the one which can be applicable everywhere since it contains two different meanings： to be and ought to be. Analysing and formulating the two meanings of ＂faithfulness＂, it turns out that the descrip- tion of facts and the judgement of values are two level which can neither be mixed up nor be cut apart.
