摘 要:本文对广东外语外贸大学翻译硕士专业学位(MTI)会议传译方向4批共68名学员的学习动机和学习体验进行了调查研究。调查涉及学员的个人情况、工作经历、报考动机、学习感受和满意程度等方面。研究结果显示,学员的专业水平和学习动机均低于MTI会议传译方向的培养目标,而学员对MTI教学的满意度也整体偏低。由此,文章指出我国MTI教育主要存在4方面的不足,即对MTI本质缺乏准确理解、社会宣传不实、考生水平不够和教学质量欠佳,并认为在理念转变的背景下MTI内涵建设仍然是一项紧迫的任务。This paper investigates and analyzes the study motives and experience of 68 MTI ( Master of Translation and Interpreting) students in the conference interpreting programme at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. The survey covers areas including students' personal background, work experience, motives for application, feelings about the study and levels of satisfaction. It reveals that the proficiency and motives of the students fall short of the objec- tives of MTI education, and the students are generally not satisfied with teaching of MTI. Based on the findings, the paper suggests that MTI education in China needs improvement, as there are four major deficiencies -- lack of accu- rate understanding about the essence of MTI, unrealistic public opinions, low competence of candidates and poor quality of teaching. It further argues that the content development of MTI still remains an urgent task against the back- drop of transformation of the guiding principles.
