摘  要:本文考察英汉广播新闻话语中的主位选择和主位推进。文章运用Halliday的主-述位理论及源于Dane的主位推进模式,分析了英汉各30篇广播新闻语料,结果发现英汉广播新闻话语的主位构造既有共性也有差异。研究表明两者存在的跨语言共性主要源自其共享特定文体的共同交际目的,两者的差异主要源于英汉各自语言结构上的不同特征。总体上,多重主位更常见于英语话语,而汉语允许省略性参与者和环境成分做主位的频率要比英语更高。This paper reports on a study of thematic choice and progression in English and Chinese radio news texts, con- ducted within the systemic-functional theory of Theme-Rheme (Halliday and Matthiessen 2004) and the thematic progression model evolving from Danes' s work in the 1970s. It is found, following a detailed analysis of 30 English and 30 Chinese texts, that there are similarities and disparities between the two languages as regards thematic structure. Most of the observed cross- linguistic similarities are due to the common communicative purposes of this particular genre shared by both, and most of the differences identified result from the distinctions in the respective grammatical structures of the two languages. Overall, while multiple Themes are more frequent in the English text, the Chinese text allows ' elliptical' participants and circumstantial elements to be thematized more often.
