摘 要:本研究调查前词汇量和(测量)时间对任务作用于二语词汇附带习得的制约性。来自两个前词汇量水平的90名英语学习者被随机分配到多项选择、填空或造句等任务中。词汇习得的测量为即时和延时后测。任务产生的显著主效应不受前词汇量的影响,却受到时间的强烈制约。各个配对任务只在即时后测中有显著的中等或中等以上效应。任务诱发的投入量假设不以前词汇量为条件,而以时间为条件。This study examines how prior vocabulary size and time(of measurement) moderate the effect of task on incidental L2 vocabulary acquisition. Ninety EFL learners at two levels of prior vocabulary size were randomly assigned to one of the three tasks(multiple choice, gap filling, and sentence writing), and their vocabulary acquisition was measured on the immediate and delayed post-tests. A significant main effect by task was strongly moderated by time rather than prior vocabulary size; moreover, a significant moderate or large effect by each pair of tasks was found on the immediate post-test only. The study finds that time is the decisive condition for the task-induced involvement load hypothesis.
