摘 要:运用Bardovi-Harlig&Dnyei的语法、语用意识及能力问卷和Schmidt等的动机问卷对152名非英语专业大学生进行研究,探讨中国大学生性别、动机与语法、语用意识程度及其能力的关系,结果发现:(1)中国学生的总体语用意识和语用能力显著高于其语法意识和语法能力。(2)就性别差异而言,不管是男生还是女生,他们的语用意识和能力都高于语法意识和能力。女生的语用意识和能力以及语法能力分别高于男生,但语法意识程度则比男生低。(3)从动机和语法/语用意识/能力的相关性分析表明,语用意识与语用能力显著相关,语法意识和语法能力显著相关,语用能力与内在动机、个人目标分别显著相关。因此,在教学过程中兼顾语言、语用能力的培养,注重个体差异的影响,有益于激发学生学习的主动性,促进学生交际能力的提高。This study examines the relationship between Chinese EFL learners" gender and motivation and their pragmatic and grammatical competence/awareness with the help of Bardovi-Harlig & Dtinyei's and Schmidt et al's questionnaires. The results show that EFL learners" pragmatic competence and awareness are significantly higher than their grammatical competence and awareness. It is also found that the pragmatic competence/awareness and grammatical competence of female learners are higher than those of male learners while the former~ grammatical awareness is lower than that of the latter, though the difference is found to be significantly insignificant. In addition, the correlation between pragmatic and grammatical competence/awareness has reached the significant level; the same situation is also found between pragmatic competence and intrinsic motivation and personal goals, respectively. Therefore, it will be beneficial to focus on both sides of learners'grammatical and pragmatic competences and to concern with the effects of individual differences on learning process, all of which can inspire learners' learning initiative and improve their communicative competence as well.
