摘　　要：从学习动机理论出发,以问卷调查结果为依据,分析重庆理工大学非英语专业后进生英语学习动机现状,探索如何有效激发后进生的英语学习动机,培养他们英语学习的兴趣,帮助他们找到更适合自身的学习方法和策略,从而有效地提高大学英语教学的整体效果。Based on motivation theory and the results of questionnaire on motivation, this paper analyzes the situation of underachievers＇ motivation of English learning among non-English majors in Chongqing University of Technology, and then explores the effective ways to stimulate underachievers＇ motivation, cultivate their interests for English learning, help them find out suitable learning strategies, so as to improve college English teaching and learning effectively.
