摘　　要：习语和比喻密不可分。只有把握好英汉习语中比喻用法的异同,才能正确理解习语的思想内容,保持其修辞效果。基于此,对英汉习语中比喻用法进行比较,并主要从喻体和喻意的角度探讨了英汉习语中的比喻用法对比,旨在帮助语言学习者更好地掌握和运用习语。Idioms and metaphors are closely related to each other. Only by understanding the differences and similarities of meta- phor in English and Chinese idioms can we correctly understand the moral content of these idioms and maintain their rhetoric effect. Therefore, this paper compares the metaphor usage English and Chinese idioms and discusses the comparison of English and Chinese idioms from the metaphor and its figurative meaning in order to help the language learner better master and use these idioms.
