韶关市公示语翻译现状与策略探究

摘　　要：公示语作为提示性社会标识,为公民的生活提供了许多便利。韶关是中国优秀旅游城市,英译公示语日益显示出其重要性,然而这些英译公示语各种错误屡见不鲜。从韶关地区公示语现状入手,分析英译公示语存在的错误类型,提出对策与建议。Translation of public signs is important for the convenience of tourists, especially for tourism cities like Shaoguan. After analyzing the present situation of public sign translation in Shaoguan, this paper puts forward some methods concerning the situation. The author believes that on the one hand, Shaoguan should promote the development of public sign translation; on the other hand, when translating public signs, translators could work more effectively if they are familiar with the functions of the signs and can comprehend the cultural differences between English and Chinese signs.
