摘　　要：随着社会生活信息化和经济活动全球化,英语已经成为对世界各国交流合作的重要工具。在我国,各行各业都需要掌握不同程度英语应用的人才。学习和掌握英语是对21世纪接受高等职业教育的学生的基本要求。文章通过对汉中职业技术学院五年制大专英语教与学现状的调查研究,就如何培养具有一定英语交际能力并且符合高职培养目标的技能型人才的策略,提出应转换观念,锐意进行英语教学改革。With information of social life and economic globalization, English has become an important tool for communication and cooperation among countries in the world. In our country, all walks of life need to master different degree of English talents. Learning and mastering English is a basic requirement for the students of higher occupation education in the 21st Century. By investigating and researching on College English teaching and learning situation, the author suggest that we should change ideas and strive for English teaching reform. And put forward how to develop good English communication abilities and skilled talents as training objective of higher vocational education.
