摘　　要：18 4 0年鸦片战争后 ,帝国主义以宗教作为侵略的工具 ,兴办各类教会学校 ,广州作为当时对外开放的五个通商口岸之一 ,是传教士居多 ,教会学校办得较早、较多的地区。教会学校是殖民主义、帝国主义侵略的产物 ,它的创办对广东社会产生了深刻的影响 ,它严重侵犯了中国的教育主权 ,造成中国民族心理的创伤 。After the Opium War of 1840, with religion as a tool of aggression, imperialism set up different kinds of missionary schools in China. As one of the five open ports then, Guangzhou was an area where there were quite a few missionaries and early-established missionary schools. Missionary schools were a product of colonialist and imperialist aggression and their establishment had a profound influence on the society of Guangdong. It seriously violated China's sovereignity in education and resluted in a Chinese national psychological trauma. However, objectively, it also promoted the development of Guangzhou's modern cultural and educational cause.
