摘　　要：我们从三个角度来讨论汉字的性质。先评论了以往的各种说法 ,后提出了作者赞同的看法 :古文字阶段的汉字是语素 +形意音 +图符文字 ,隶楷阶段的文字是语素 +意音区别 +字符字。The nature of the Chinese characters is discussed from three angles.Various views in the past are reviewed.Thereafter,the author presents his own point of view:firstly,the Chinese characters in ancient Chinese are morphemes;secondly,they are sounds with forms to represent meaning;thirdly,they are pictographs;fourthly,they are characters whose sounds and meanings differ;finally,they are symbols.
