摘　　要：本文是系列论文的第三篇 ,论述我国正在组织实施的跨世纪现代远程教育工程。这标志着我国远程教育进入了战略革新和新一轮起飞期。文章考查了普通高校和全国电大系统在发展包括计算机互联网在内的双向交互的第三代远程教育方面的种种实践创新和理论探索 。This is the third one of the series papers,focusing on the current development of crosscentury engineering of modern distance education in China.This is the indicator of that China's distance education has entered a new period of strategic innovation and significant development.The paper discusses a variety of innovative practice and theoretical exploration in developing third generation of two-way interactive distance education including computer internet by regular higher education institutions,and radio and TV universities.Then,it examines the guidelines and strategic arrangement in organizing modern distance education engineering by the Chinese Government.
