摘　　要：迈克尔·穆尔(Michael G.Moore)是国际上远程教育研究方面的先行者,美国远程教育研究与实践的开拓者之一,也是国际远程教育发展的奠基人之一,在促进远程教育发展的过程中做出了卓越贡献。1959—1960年,穆尔在伦敦Goldsmiths学院进修,获研究生教育证书(PGCE),开始进入教育领域;1970—1973年,在美国威斯康辛—麦迪逊大学学习,师从查尔斯·魏德曼(Charles Wedemeyer),获成人教育学博士学位;1986年起,任宾西法尼亚州立大学美国远程教育研究中心(NCSDE)主任、教育学教授,《美国远程教育杂志》(AJDE)主编。在远程教育事业的发展中,穆尔创造了许多个"第一":1972年,发表了远程教育领域中第一篇探讨远程教育理论基础的学术论文,提出并准确定义了"远程教育"这一重要术语;20世纪70年代中期,在威斯康辛大学教授远程教育学科第一门研究生课程;1986年加入宾夕法尼亚州州立大学,创建美国远程教育研究中心,创办了美国第一本远程教育杂志《美国远程教育杂志》(The American Journal of Distance Education)等等。在学术生涯中,穆尔出版了多部远程教育研究著作,发表了近百篇学术论文,代表作有《学习者自主性:独立学习的第二维度》(1972)、《独立学习》(1980)、《交互距离理论》(1993)、《三种交互类型》(2000)、《远程教育系统观》(2005)和《远程教育手册》(2007)等。同时,穆尔在世界各地举行过多次重要学术演讲,为推进远程教育在国际领域的发展做出了重要贡献。他曾三次访问中国,第一次是1991年在北京师范大学举办了一次题为"美国与世界范围内的远程教育"的公开讲座;另外在2006年,分别在广州、上海和昆明发表了关于远程教育的主题演讲,给中国的远程教育事业注入了新的活力。在此访谈中,穆尔教授与我们一起分享了他的人生历程以及他的远程教育观。他认为远程教育的挑战主�Michael G. Moore, a pioneer of international distance education research, has made outstanding contribution in the development of promoting distance education. From 1959 to 1960, he received the Postgraduate Certificate of Education （PGCE） in the Goldsmiths, University of London. From 1970 to 1973, he got Doctor＇s degree in the instruction of Charles Wedemeyer in University of Wisconsin. Since 1986, he has been the professor of education in The Pennsylvania State University, also, worked as a chief editor for AJDE.From radios to today＇s present technology, Michael G. Moore shares his history and vision of distance education. He states that challenges in distance education revolve around a ＂changing allocation of resources,＂ where long-term success is defined through quality delivery of the ＂knowledge-creation＂ process. Moore summarizes his efforts in working with distance education in various countries and his work with the Global Distance Education Network. He presents the desired direction of research in the field for future scholars, but reminds us that changes in pedagogy and policy offer the best overall picture of the future of distance education.
