气象科技英语特点及其翻译策略

摘　　要：气象科技英语文献中常含有很多专有词汇,其句子较长且成分复杂。气象科技英语在很多情况下同样用被动句表达意思更为方便。翻译时可采取各种灵活的方法,转换成符合汉语的行文和表达习惯。在翻译气象科技文献时,译者应准确运用专有名词、科技名词、缩略词等,采用灵活的策略,以确保忠实于原文。在翻译气象科技英语文献中的长难句子时,首先要抓住句子的主干部分,然后再找出句子的修饰、限定以及从属分句等部分,理顺语法结构,善于运用灵活的翻译策略,以确保表达通顺流畅。There often exist large amount of specific vocabulary items in the essays of English for Meteorol-ogy which usually contain rather long and complex sentences. In many cases, expressing with passive sentences in English for Meteorology is easier. The translation can take all kinds of methods of flexible, into line with the Chinese habit of expression. And essays of English for Meteorology in translation, the translator should correct use of proper nouns, technical terms, abbreviations, adopt a flexible strategy, to ensure that the faithful to the original. In essays of English for Meteorology translation of long sentences, the first to seize the main part of the sentence, and then find out the sentences and subordinate clauses defining modification, etc. part, straighten out the grammar structure, good at using the flexible translation strategies to ensure the smooth, expression.
