摘　　要：商务英语函电语篇虽然篇幅较小,但具有特定的交际功能,在语言实践中并不单靠某一衔接手段实现语义连贯和语篇功能。基于衔接理论,通过对一篇商务英语函电语篇的分析,本文试图分析归纳此类语篇的语言表现特征,并试图说明这些语篇特征形成的原因和评价语篇功能的实现。Although it is usually short, the text of English business correspondence has its own particular commumcanon function. In practice, the text of English business correspondence does not merely make use of one cohesive device to realize its semantic cohesion and textual function. Based on cohesion theory, the paper tries to explore and sum up the textual characteristics of English business correspondence text as well as to explain the reasons for the formation of these characteristics and evaluate the realization of its textual function by analyzing one English business correspondence.
