摘  要:美国社区学院校长作为学院的行政首脑,扮演着多重职责和角色,拥有学院治理的领导权力,但在美国社区学院中并没有出现校长权力扩张以及滥用权力的现象,主要原因是社区学院中存在着各个管理机构相互制衡的制度。美国社区学院校长权力行使的科学性和有效性,积极引导和促进了社区学院的发展,对我国高职院校治理结构中校长权力的有效运用具有借鉴意义。As the chief executive of community college, the chancellor of American community college plays multiple responsibilities and roles, having the leading power over the college governance, but there is no expansion or abuse of power of the chancellor in American community college. The main reason of this is the community college has a comparatively complete system of power balance mechanism between the administrative institutions. The science and effectiveness of the execution of power by American community college chancellor has actively led to the development of community college, which is of great significance to the effective exercise of chancellor power in higher vocational college governance structure of China.
