摘  要:英汉两种语言在词类方面存在一定的差异,译者在翻译过程中应该进行适当的词性转换。词性转换是目标语取向的,恰当的词性转换能使译文顺畅地道,阅卷中直接影响阅卷员的评价标准。这一现象在汉译英翻译中表现尤为突出,因为恰当的词性转换是考生驾驭英语语言的明显标志;但在英译汉翻译中,由于译者的目标语为母语,词性转换已不再是难点,考生的得分主要基于其对原文的理解。There exists much difference between English and Chinese in terms of lexical categories, and thus it is necessary to make some categorical transference of the words in the process of translation. Such transference is target- language-oriented and it makes the translation more smooth and natural. The ability of lexical transference indicates the linguistic competence of the translator and thus is regarded as an important factor for translation assessment. This is particularly true when the target language is English. As for E to C translation, understanding the original text is more important for Chinese students.
