摘  要:学科地位对学科发展至关重要。本文通过梳理大学英语研究现状,指出学科地位迷茫从根本上影响了大学英语事业发展。基于独立学科的评判标准,大学英语教育无疑是一门独立学科。学科地位不仅是学理问题,更是法理问题。在长期未被赋予应有学科地位的局面下,大学英语教育曾以变通的形式纳入人才培养专业。在进一步推进大学英语改革走向深入的时代背景里,大学英语教育学科建设必须得到应有的重视。本文提出,可以在"教育学"一级学科之下设置"大学英语教育"二级学科,或者将其设置为专业学位学科。Disciplinary status has much to do with the development of a discipline. By making a review of the past studies on College English, this paper points out that the confusion of disciplinary status fundamentally affects the cause of College English. According to the criteria tbr a discipline, College English Education can undoubtedly be regarded as an independent one. Disciplinary status is not only an academical question, but also, and even more, a question of policy. Although it was not granted due status for a long period of time, College English Education was included in higher education programs tactically by different institutions. In the context of thorough reform of College English, disciplinary construction of College English Education must be placed on the agenda. This paper suggests that the disciplinary status of College English Education can be ratified as a sub-discipline under the discipline of Education, or a specialized field in professional degree education.
