摘　　要：结合高等教育国际化办学需求和学生需求,新时期研究生英语教学的重心应向专门用途英语(ESP)转移。基于国内ESP课程设置的两种主流模式,分析国内20所医科院校研究生英语课程设置现状。最后得出开设ESP课程的两点启示,为国内其他医科院校创建研究生ESP创新课程体系提供参考。This paper supports the idea that the teaching focus for modern graduates should shift into ESP by reviewing relevant literature and considering the requirement of international higher education and students＇needs. Upon which, two main models of ESP course design in China were introduced. Mter that, the status quo of 20 medical universities in China were investigated and analyzed, so as to shed light on the innovative ESP course design for the medical universities in China.
