摘　　要：杜亚泉的教育思想与办学理念影响深远,他通过普及科学知识,为国家谋文化上之建设;积极办学,栽植社会需要之人才;编撰大量教科书,传播现代科学知识。杜亚泉对科学技术在中国的普及起到了重要作用,相当程度上影响了近代中国文化的走向,他对科学教育所作的尝试仍具有一定的现实意义。This paper tries to analyze Du Yaquan ＇ s thoughts on education and school management. Du ＇ s educationalthoughts, through the popularization of science, have contributed to the cultural endeavors of the country. Du was devoted to runningschools and aimed at training talents needed in the society. He was an activist in compiling textbooks and spreading modernscience. Du played a pivotal role in popularizing science and technology in China, which had a long lasting impact on the modernChinese culture. His thoughts at scientific education still have significance in this age.
