我国高考英语考试性质的多维审视与思考

摘  要:高考恢复以来,我国高考英语历经多次改革与调整,各阶段均有不同改进,但由于本质层面反思的缺失,高考英语的考试性质模糊不清,改革成效值得深思。从考试目的、招生政策、命题实践、学业需求等方面全面审视我国高考英语的性质,可以发现我国高考英语承载着高校人才选拔的功能,其本质更符合英语课程终结性考试的特点,可以说是高中英语学业水平考试的"升级版",考试目标及内涵需优化。NMET in China has been reformed and adjusted since NMT was resumed in 1977, which accomplished certain improvements in different phases. For lack of reflection at the essence level, the nature of NMET is still a mist for stakeholders, and the reform utility is worth pondering. This paper makes a multidimensional analysis on the nature of NMET from perspectives of test purpose, admission policy, test design practice and college academic needs. Results show that NMET bears the functions of sections, but its nature is more in line with the features of curriculum - based summative test, therefore, it can be regarded as the upgrade version of high school academic English test. The paper also concludes by pointing out some considerations which can be applied in test system optimization.
