摘  要:能力/运用两分法之争导致运用理论、语言作为语码/信号、动态适应性复杂理论的产生,使人们认识到基于使用理论对认识语言变化乃至语言习得都意义深远。本文的目的不在注入一些现成结论,而在于引起我国广大英语教师及主政当局的注意和讨论,从而作为改革我国英语教育的出发点。The debate around the competence/performance dichotomy has led to the growth of perfor-mance theory,language as code / signal,complex adaptive system and the usage-based theories which have significant contribution to the study of language teaching as well as language changes.The aim of this paper is to draw the attention and discussion among education executives as well as the general public of Chinese teachers of English,rather than just inserting some ready-made conclusions; so that transformation of English education in China can be well found.
