高中英语教学:方法的演变与文化的契合

摘  要:文化决定着高中学生的思维模式和行为方式。高中英语教学方法的选择必须满足高中生独特的文化需要。与中国文化相契合的英语教学方法才是理想的教学方法,然而,目前国内高中英语教学广泛使用的翻译法、交际法、任务法、整体法和认知法等主流的英语教学方法均发源于国外的文化环境,并不能真正满足我国高中生独特的文化需要。因此,我们有必要在借鉴国外英语教学法的基础之上提出适应中国高中生独特文化环境的英语教学方法。Culture dictates the thinking and behavior of senior middle school students. The selection of teaching methods for senior middle school students must comply with their peculiar cultural needs. The methods that comply with the Chinese culture are the ideal methods for English language teaching. The popular methods used in English language teaching, such as the grammar translation method, the communicative method, the task based approach, the whole language approach and the cognitive approach,however, originate from foreign cultures and can not truly meet the particular cultural need of the senior middle school students in China. It is therefore recommended that a method that meets the special cultural needs of the Chinese middle school students be developed on the basis of the methods borrowed from other countries.
