摘　　要：高职英语教学的目的是培养能用英语解决职业中遇到的问题的高等技术应用型人才,根据这一教学目的和高职学生英语水平参差不齐的特点,本文提出了高职英语教学改革方向,即专门英语教学和分层教学的结合。本文探讨分层的标准、教学的实施、评价体系以及存在的问题。The purpose of English teaching in higher vocational colleges is cultivating the talents with higher technology who can solve problems in the future career by using English. According to the characteristics of the teaching purpose and students＇ uneven English level of vocational colleges, the author puts forward the direction of English teaching reform in higher vocational colleges, which is combining the ESP（the English for special purpose） and the method of teaching with layers. The author discusses hierarchical standard, the implementation of teaching, the evaluation system, and the existing problems.
