摘　　要："更好的教育"是服务学生自然成长、启迪学生自己成长、引领学生自由成长、促进学生自觉成长的教育。追求"更好的教育",必须转变教育发展方式、人才培养模式、教师专业成长范式和校长管理服务方式,构建促进心灵转向、滋润生命生长、点燃生命火焰、提供外在自由的课堂。追求"更好的教育",需要县级政府改变思维方式、改变行为导向、改变实践路径,让基础教育发展更为理性、创新更富实效、治理更加有力。面对基础教育发展的"新常态",在强化我省基础教育现代化、强化我省基础教育依法办学、提高我省基础教育治理能力上要有新作为。＂Better education＂ indicates that education should serve students＇ natural growth, inspire their own growth, guide them to free growth, and promote their conscious growth. To achieve the goal, we must change the form of education development, the mode of talent cultivation, the paradigm of teachers＇ professional growth and the style of headmasters＇ administration. Meanwhile, the county government should convert their thinking style, behavior orientation, and practice path, letting basic education development be more rational, innovation more effective and governing more powerful. In the face of the new normal of basic education development, Jiangsu Province should take new actions to strengthen the modernization, law-based schooling and administrative level of basic education.
