摘　　要：在过去近四十年里,新自由主义和新保守主义对英国教育产生了重大影响。英国的职前教师教育质量保障同样也受这两种思潮的影响:保守党和联合政府执政期间,新保守主义略占上风;工党执政期间,新自由主义则相对强势。在英国的职前教师教育质量保障领域,由于执政理念的差异,尽管各届政府都试图在新自由主义和新保守主义之间寻求平衡点,但并未如愿。Neoliberalism and neoconveratism have had a great impact on the UK＇ s education in the past forty years. These two ideologies have also affected the quality assurance of initial teacher education （ITE） in the UK. In detail, neoconveratism has played a relatively more important role when the Conservative Party and the Coalition Government led the UK, whereas neoliberalism had a stronger impact during the Labour Government. Due to the differences of guiding ideologies of the two parties in the UK, although the government has tried to reach a balance point between neoliberalism and neoconveratism in relation to the quality assurance of ITE, it has proved very difficult.
