摘 要:押农村中学英语教师教学能力发展是当前英语基础教育改革亟待解决的问题。英语教师的教学能力包括教学设计能力、教学实施能力、教学评价能力、教学反思能力和教学创新能力。学校本位的教师教学能力发展涉及教师的需求驱动、专业合作和学校的制度支持三大要素。通过对商洛市农村中学英语教师的调查研究发现,较高的需求驱动和专业合作促进了教学设计能力和实施能力的发展,但是教学制度支持不力制约了教师教学能力的发展。因此,学校需从这几方面入手为教师教学能力发展提供制度支持:了解教师的专业发展需求和兴趣所在;建立相匹配的教学制度;将教师教学能力发展纳入到学校的常规活动中。The development of the teaching ability of the middle school English teachers in rural areas hasbecome a critical issue in China's curriculum reform. The English teaching ability consists of the abilityto design lesson plans, implement the plans inetc. Its development relates to teachers' need,the class, to assess and reflect on the classroom teaching,cooperation with colleagues and the school's managementsystem. A survey has been done to find out how these factors affects the English teachers' abilitydevelopment in Shangluo, Shaanxi Province. The findings of the research are satisfactory. The statisticalanalysis indicates that teachers' needs to develop themselves and cooperation with their colleaguescorrelate to their teaching ability, especially to the ability to design lesson plans and implement the plansin the classroom. However, it seems that the school' management system doesn't give much support toteacher's profession developmenL Thus, rural schools should reform their management system so as to givethe teachers more support in developing their English teaching ability.
