摘 要:以概念隐喻理论为框架,用实证的方法对比了以提高学生隐喻意识为基础的认知教学方法和传统教学方法对中国学生习得短语动词的影响。对实验数据的分析结果表明,实验组以提高隐喻意识为基础的认知教学效果显著优于控制组传统的短语动词教学,而且学习者能将所学隐喻知识迁移到新的短语动词学习任务中。研究证实隐喻意识的提高能够促进中国英语学习者的短语动词学习。This study investigates the effect of the metaphor awareness on the acquisition of English phrasal verbs by comparing two types of teaching methods, namely, the metaphor-based instruction and the traditional instruction. The re- suits show that learners from the former group have performed much better than those from the latter, and those who have received metaphor-based instruction can apply what they have learned to the learning of new phrasal verbs. This study has proved that the improvement of Chinese learners' metaphor awareness can serve as an effective pedagogical device in teach- ing and learning phrasal verbs.
