摘　　要：20世纪20-30年代,商务印书馆作为近代中国最具代表性的民营出版机构,在编辑出版中小学教科书和文化科技读物的同时,致力于摄制和推广教育电影,并通过《东方杂志》、《教育杂志》等馆办期刊译介、传播电化教育理论和技术,不仅开创了民营出版机构摄制教育电影、推广电化教育的先河,而且为近代中国电化教育学学科的建立打下了基础。回顾和梳理早期商务印书馆所开展的教育电影事业,既有助于人们了解电化教育在近代中国的发展历程,对当前教育技术学的研究也不乏借鉴意义。Between the 1920 sand 1930s,as one of the most representative private publishing institutions,The Commercial Press made considerable contributions to making and promoting educational films in the course of the edition and publication of textbooks for primary and secondary schools,as well as of books of culture and technology.Meanwhile,it dedicated to the translation and dissemination of audiovisual education theory and technology through its self-run periodicals such as＂Education Journal ＂and＂Oriental Magazine＂.It acted as a pioneer for private publishers in producing educational films and promoting audiovisual education,and virtually has laid the foundation for the subject of audiovisual education in modern China.Reflection on the career of educational film in the early development of The Commercial Press,helps us to understand the development course of audiovisual education in the history of modern China,and would be beneficial to current studies in the field of educational technology.
