文化翻译视角下汉语数词“三”的英译

摘　　要：汉语数词"三"具有丰富的文化内涵。《汉英词典》中以"三"开头的词语、习语和熟语的英译表明,跨文化翻译中文化补偿是非常必要的。翻译策略的选择应该体现文化翻译补偿的需要,并揭示文化翻译过程中的确存在翻译空缺。Chinese numeral＂three＂contains rich cultural connotation. Most of the translation examples which begin with the figure ＂three＂showed that it was necessary to compensate the cultural gaps in translation process. The choices of translation strategies are embodied in the needs for cultural compensation in order to show the gaps in cultural translation.
