归化与执守——美国华人文学中的“金山”意象解读

摘　　要：一个世纪以来,"金山"的异质性文化吸引着美国华人作家不断深入探查。在叙事上,作家以纪实和想象两种书写方式来建构带有隐喻性的地域文化意象,并以此呈现华人族裔在异邦生存期间的生活、心理情感真相。而不同时期的对华政策不仅影响着华人群体的主体诉求,也影响着华人作家对文本空间的建构。作家意图通过建构文本空间,来表达出自己与"金山"地域空间的联系是归化还是执守的价值判断。选取"金山"城市意象作为研究对象,通过对"金山"的地理、文化能指内容的考察,提炼出美国华人文学中"金山"意象的所指内涵。而政治上的国家权力、外交关系和文化上的民族认同,是支配作家思考和判断的重要因素。A century of ＂golden hill＂ heterogeneity culture has attracted further research of chinese-born American writers. The writers have used record of actual events and imagine two writing ways to construct the metaphorical regional culture image, and presents the ethnic Chinese in foreign life and psycholog-ical emotional truth. The policy to China of different periods not only affected the pursuit of subjective of Chinese community, also influenced the construction of text space of Chinese writers, through con-structing text space the writers expressed their value judgment were naturalisation or maintainguard by linking with the ＂golden hill＂ regional space. This paper selected the ＂golden hill＂ city image as the thinking object, through studying the geography and culture of ＂golden hill＂, extracted the connotation of ＂golden hill＂ image in American Chinese literature. The state power, diplomatic relations and na-tional identity were the important factors to dominate writers thinking and judgment.
