摘 要:文章就不同水平中国英语学习者语言能力、移情能力与语用理解能力的关系展开了实证研究,分析结果表明英语学习者的语言能力与语用理解能力存在相关性,即高水平学习者语用能力更强。高水平英语学习者中,移情能力与语用理解能力存在着显著相关性;而低水平英语学习者中,两者之间不存在显著相关性。研究结果验证了学术界存在的假设,即高水平学习者拥有更为完备的自动化语言处理能力,在言语理解时能够更多地运用移情等非语言因素解读具体语境中的信息。An empirical study has been carried out on the correlation between Chinese English learners' linguistic ability, pragmatic comprehension ability, and empathetic ability. The results indicate that there is a correlation between linguistic ability and pragmatic comprehension ability, that is, the higher linguistic ability is, the better pragmatic comprehension ability will be. And in the advanced English learners, there is a corre- lation between empathetic ability and pragmatic comprehension ability, while in the learners of lower level, no such correlation could be found. The study has proved the hypothesis that advanced English learners have acquired automatic language processing ability. In pragmatic comprehension, they are more capable of using non-linguistic abilities, like emphatic ability, to interpret contextual information.
