试论英语的西方音乐特征与汉语的中国绘画特征

摘　　要：本文从英汉语言的时空性特质出发,结合音乐与绘画的部分特征,论证英语语言表征犹如西方音乐,具有时间性特质,在句构上表现为延续性、勾连性和不可逆性;而汉语语言表征则酷似中国绘画,具有空间性特质,在句构上表现为离散性、块状性和可逆性。Grounded on the view that the English language is of temporality and the Chinese language is of spatiality, and by observing the fundamental traits of music and painting, the paper attempts to prove that the linguistic representation of English is like Western music, which shows the particularity of temporality that can be boiled down to the features of continuity, con- nectedness and irreversibility. However, the linguistic representation of Chinese is like Chinese painting, which assumes the trait of spatiality, with the basic characteristics of discreteness, chunkiness and reversibility.
