摘　　要：修辞是运用各种表现手法提高语言感染力的重要写作手段。谙熟常用的修辞手法可以有效地提高准确运用语言的能力,《现代大学英语》这套教材有着丰富的修辞格,修辞手段的恰当使用可以使文章形象生动且更具有表现力,让学生领略到语言美,激发学习兴趣,提高修辞素养。There are many kinds of figures of speech in English learning. This paper studies the frequently appeared figures of speech in Contemporary College English Book 1 and Book 2. Appropriate use of figures of speech can help the students to appreciate the beauty of English language and arouse their interests in learning English,thus improve their rhetoric attainment.
