摘 要:本文基于典型教学课例剖析了中小学外语教师缺失的专业素养,并基于国内学者对中小学英语教师核心专业素养的研究,依据"素质冰山模型"对英语教师的核心专业素养从显性的英语学科素养和隐性的英语教学素养重新划分与界定,确定了基本语言学知识与外语习得理论、英语专业知识与技能、英语语言意识、英语思维能力以及英语学科教学知识和学科教学能力等核心专业素养。本文同时还对中小学英语教师培养过程中出现的问题加以分析并提出改进对策。The paper analyzes various professional competences which primary and secondary EFL teachers lack by presenting and discussing some typical teaching cases. On the basis of previous relevant studies and the Iceberg Model of Competence, this paper reclassifies English teachers' core professional competence into two general components—explicit subject competence and implicit pedagogical competence. These two components are further detailed into such competences as basic knowledge of linguistics and foreign language acquisition theory, English professional knowledge and skills, English language consciousness, thinking skills in English as well as pedagogical content knowledge and teaching ability. It also discusses problems concerning the training of primary and secondary English teachers in China and proposes the suggestion of 'well-grounded pre-service education and reflective in-service teacher training'.
