摘 要:吉尔特·霍夫斯泰德在《文化与组织》中提出了包括权力距离、个人主义-集体主义等在内的五个国家文化维度的划分。在高权力距离和提倡集体主义的中国,家庭教育忽视了孩子独立性、个性以及创新能力的培养,而在低权力距离和个人主义盛行的美国,家庭教育则在这方面另有独到见解。利用霍夫斯泰德的文化维度理论来分析中美家庭教育的差异,可以让中美父母相互借鉴,取长补短,从而找到属于自己的家教之道。Geert Hofstede introduced five culture dimensions in his book Culture and Organization, whichincluding power distance, individualism and collectivism. In China, a high power distance and collectivismcountry, the sense of independence and creativity are ignored by family education. While, in America, a lowpower distance and individualism country, parents have their own opinions about how to cultivate children'spersonality and creativity. Using the theory of culture dimension to compare the differences of family educationbetween China and America, we can help Chinese and American parents to learn from each other. Then, theycan find a relative proper way to cultivate their children.
