A Study on Undergraduate Student Engagement in Southwest Jiaotong University

摘  要:采用"中国大学生学习性投入调查"(NSSE-China)问卷,对2014年西南交通大学本科生学习性投入五大指标进行调查,结果如下:该校在生师互动水平和校园环境支持度上的总分显著高于"211工程"院校常模总分,其他三项指标不存在显著差异;本科一、二年级在五大指标上的得分均高于"211工程"院校常模的得分,三、四年级在教育经验丰富度上的得分低于"211工程"院校常模得分;不同学科本科生在教育经验丰富度上的得分存在较大差异;茅以升学院学生在学业挑战度上的得分高于普通班学生的得分;除学业挑战度外,该校其他四项指标2014年的得分均高于2011年的得分。The authors used 2014 NSSE-China and investigated the five indicators of undergraduate students' engagement in Southwest Jiaotong University( SWJTU). The results were as follows: the total scores of student-faculty interaction indicator and supportive campus environment indicator were higher than that of the "211 project universities"norm,while there was no difference in other three indicators;the scores of undergraduates in year one and two in five indicators were higher than that of the "211project universities"norm; in enriched educational experience indicator,undergraduates in year three and four scored lower than the "211 project universities " norm while undergraduates of different programmes presented significant difference in that indicator; students from honors college obtained higher scores than the ordinary students in level of academic challenge indicator; the scores of 2014 were higher than that of 2011( except level of academic challenge indicator) when the scores of 2011 and 2014 were compared.
