摘　　要：黄炎培是我国近现代职业教育的开创者,他从事职业教育的历史是研究我国近现代职业教育发展的重要一页。以教育哲学的视野,从产生、内涵与功能三个层面,围绕"什么是职业教育"与"职业教育有什么用"两大问题,通过历史的红线来全面客观地透视黄炎培对职业教育本质的认识与论述,有助于我们加深对职业教育本质的认识与理解。Mr. Huang Yan-pei was the pioneer of modern vocational education in our country. The history of his participation in vocational education is an important page for the study on the development of modern vocational education in China. This paper,in the view of educa- tional philosophy,from three levels of production,connotation and function, centering around ＂what is vocational education＂ and ＂what is the use of vocational education＂ ,makes a comprehensive and objective analysis of Mr. Huang Yan-pei＇s understanding and statements of the essence of vocational education, in order to deepen our knowledge and understanding of the essence of vocational education.
