英美文化认同与英语学习动机的相关性研究——以新疆高校非英语专业大学生为例  被引量:3

Research on the Correlation between British-American Cultural Identity and English Learning Motivation——A Case Study of College Students in Non-English Major in Universities of Xinjiang

摘  要:语言与文化密不可分,学习一门外语的同时也是其文化的学习过程。外语学习必然与学习者的文化认同密切相关。通过对英美文化认同与英语学习动机的相关性进行实证研究的结果表明,英美文化认同与英语学习动机具有显著的正相关关系,且大学生英美文化认同与英语学习动机相关性具有年级差异性,其中,大四年级学生英美文化认同对其英语学习动机具有显著预测力。Language and culture are inseparable and learning a foreign language is also the process.of learning its culture, and therefore, foreign language learning is closely related with the learner's cultural identity. By means of empirical research on the correlation between-British-American cultural identity and English learning motivation, resuits show that British-American cultural identity has a significant positive correlation, and there exists a grade difference of the correlation between British-American cultural identity of the students and their English learning motivation; among them, British-American cultural identity of the seniors has a significant predictive power for their learning motivation.
