摘　　要：英语专业学生阅读能力的提高一直是英语专业本科教学的工作重点之一,文中从如何能激发学生的学习兴趣、调动学习积极性、从被动学习转变为主动学习出发,基于英语专业学生的现状,该研究力图引入《21世纪英文报》,改革现有英语阅读教学模式,旨在提高学生的英语自主学习能力,以期为今后英语专业阅读教学提供参考。How to improve the reading ability of English majors has always been one of the significant tasks in the teaching planning for English majors in China. This project worked on how to arouse students＇ interests, activate students and change them from passive learning into active learning. Based on the actual status of our English majors, our study tried to reform the current English reading teaching mode by introducing the newspaper 21stCentury into our teaching, which aims at upgrading students＇ autonomous English learning ability and serves as a reference for future English teaching.
