摘　　要：Chinese Repository《中国丛报》(1832-1851)是19世纪中期西方人在中国创办历时最长、影响最大的英文刊物,为当时西方人全面了解中国提供了一个平台。《中国丛报》首次将《御纂医宗金鉴》、《蚕桑合编》和《农政全书》三部中国科学典籍译介到英语世界,为中国科学西传做出了贡献。然而,由于译介者本人中文水平有限,或受"西方中心主义"意识形态的影响,译介中也存在一定的误读。Chinese Repository （ 1832-1851 ） , established by Elijah Coleman Bridgman, was the most influential English periodical in China during its time and provided a platform for westerners to understand China. Chinese Repository published English translations of Yuzhuan Yizong Jinjian, Cansang Hebian and Nongzheng Quanshu and introduced them to the English world for the first time, and made a contribution to the spreading of Chinese science overseas. However, there were also some misinterpretations in its introduction and translation of the Chinese scientific classics due to the translator＇ s incompetence in the Chinese language and the influence of ＂western centralism＂.
