摘  要:学科既是一种知识体系,又是一种学术制度。高等教育研究的合法性包括两个方面:一是内在合法性,即知识基础;二是外在合法性,即制度基础。内在合法性的标志是形成一套广泛认同的文化-认知体系,外在合法性的标志是形成学科发展的制度基础。中国高等教育研究学科化经历了两个阶段:第一个阶段主要遵循社会需求逻辑,学科发展的动力主要来自于外部需求;第二个阶段主要遵循学科逻辑,致力于学科的知识传统的建构。实证研究证明,中国高等教育研究具有良好的制度基础,但缺乏深厚的知识基础。展望未来,中国高等教育研究不但要形成普遍认同的知识传统和价值观念,而且要进一步加强体制化,争取高等教育学的一级学科地位。Discipline is not only a knowledge system, but also a kind of academic institution. The legitimacy of higher education research includes two aspects: one is internal legitimacy, namely knowledge base; the other is the external legitimacy, that is, institutional basis. The sign of internal legitimacy is formed a culture-cognitive system, which has been widely accepted. The sign of external legitimacy is a discipline institution. China's discipline development of higher education research has experienced two stages: the first stage mainly abides by the logic of social demand, main driving force of discipline development is from the external demand. The second stage is mainly following the subject logic, committed to the construction of knowledge tradition. Empirical studies show that China's higher education research has a good institutional basis, but lack deep knowledge base. Looking forward to the future, China's higher education research is not only to form a universal knowledge traditions and values, and to further strengthen the institutionalization, strive for the status of higher education Grade 1 discipline.
