摘  要:此文为作者近年发表的三篇文章(《ESP/EST纵横谈》、EST as I See It、《ESP管窥》)的续篇。从ESP的教师、学员和教材等角度,探讨如何以最为有效的教学方式使学员在有限的学习期内尽快获得英语习得的最佳效果。内容覆盖面颇广,涵盖了"学习需要""学习技能""学习策略""项目规划""课程内容""教材编写""收集资料"等多方面。与此同时,论述ESP师生应如何扮演好教师和学员的角色,以解决ESP教学中所出现的各种问题。This article may serve as a sequel to the writer's three articles( Random Remarks on ESP /EST,EST as I See It,and A Glimpse of ESP),written respectively in recent years. The primary aim of the present paper is to discuss and explore how to employ the most effective teaching approach and learning method to obtain the best results of ESP studies. It lays much emphasis on such issues as Analysis of Learning Needs, Learning Skills, Learning Strategies, Program Planning, Course Content,the Compilation of Ideal Textbooks and Collection of Reference Materials. In the meanwhile,it draws together some of the key problems concerning the major roles of ESP teachers and students and puts them in a wider language teaching perspective. Anyhow,it is an attempt to work out appropriate solutions for the teaching and learning of ESP.
